Oh Volunteers!

Citizens for Animal Protection is a busy shelter that takes in 12,000 to 13,000 animals a year. We have between 250-300 animals in the shelter at any given time. CAP is looking for dedicated individuals who are twenty-one and up that are able to commit to helping our four-legged friends for at least four hours a month. There are many different activities with which volunteers assist: dog walking, socializing cats, unfolding newspaper, meeting and greeting potential adopters, and helping out in our Pet Supply Shop or Thrift Store.
