A Kaboodle of Poodles

poodles at CAPCitizens for Animal Protection and In Defense of Animals came to the rescue last week of fifty-three poodles at a Louisiana hoarder/breeder's kennel. IDA had seized such a large number of animals from a home in a small town that they reached out to CAP to assist with the rescue operation. The conditions in the home were so foul that volunteers could only remain indoors for a few minutes at a time and wore masks. Volunteers then had to bathe all of the dogs several times to remove the incredible odor of urine and feces from their coats..

Six of these poodles, all male, have traveled to Houston to find their forever homes. The boys are friendly but very shy. CAP staffers are working with the rescuees now to teach them to walk on leash. The poodles are all looking for a new, forever home where they are loved, not used for breeding.

Stay tuned for more on these precious paws as they move from hardship to hope and watch our photo album to see their amazing transformation.

God Bless CAP and IDA !!! "Humans" who mistreat animals in ANY way need to remember "who was here first" (Google 'creation' for the answer!) SURELY the only "punishment" was NOT JUST 'losing the dogs'...these little guys WILL get loving, forever homes in Houston, through CAP.
