31st Annual Volunteer & Staff Awards Party

Recently CAP celebrated our 31st Annual Volunteer & Staff Awards Party  The awards were held in the Welcome and Education Center at the new CAP shelter on June 26 from 6:30 to 8:30PM. Spring Creek Barbeque catered the 150 person event, but there were plenty of vegan hot dogs and vegetable pasta for the vegetarians to enjoy!  Over 120 awards were given in 20 categories to the volunteers for years of service and outstanding achievement in their area.

The staff got their just desserts too, and we don’t mean the chocolate and vanilla cake with the CAP logo on it!  This year a beautiful plaque, displaying all of the staff names with 4 years of service and more to the shelter, will be displayed in the lobby for all visitors to see. The evening was topped off with a short video that gave a brief overview of how CAP began and why all of the staff and volunteers still love to call it their home after so many years.  With sincere gratitude, Citizens for Animal Protection appreciates all that the staff and volunteers do everyday and every week to help the shelter. We couldn’t do it without you!!!
