CAP will be saving more lives with the help of Petco this spring! FCAP, our feral cat TNR program, just received a generous grant that will defray costs of spay/neuter surgeries and rabies vaccinations. Have a feral cat colony in your neighborhood? Find out more about how to help feral cats with FCAP.
Thanks to the generosity of the Petco Foundation, The Feral Cat Assistance Program is furthering its efforts to control the feral cat population. The $15,000 grant will defray costs of spay/neuter surgery and rabies vaccination for Houston are feral cats. This isn’t the first time the Petco Foundation has invested in Citizens for Animal Protection and we’re incredibly grateful for the continued support from this lifesaving foundation.
Feral cats, also known as “wild or free-roaming” cats, are the largest cause of pet overpopulation in Houston. Thousands of feral cats are born into homelessness every year, often right in our own neighborhoods. Left unattended, feral cat colonies can grow out of control. But with your help, FCAP is committed to solving this problem through humane trap-neuter-return.
Surgery is by reservation only. Do not trap prior to having an appointment and contacting the Feral Cat Assistance Program (FCAP). For more information about FCAP and Trap, Neuter, and Return please contact Catherine Graczyk by email or 281-497-0591.
