LauraBerronesEveryday dedicated CAP employees care for Houston’s homeless animals.  But Laura Berrones isn’t just another employee.  She is also runner.  And this year Laura plans to run her first half marathon in the 2016 Chevron Houston Marathon on behalf of the animals cared for at the CAP Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center.  She is training hard, but she needs your help to reach her goal.  Support this 13-year CAP employee by donating to Laura’s fundraising page.  CAP is an official charity of the Houston Chevron Houston Marathon.  To learn more about running for our furry friends or how to help fundraisers like Laura, contact Trisha Royal

From Laura:

"I have been an avid runner for many years and every year I am asked about running the Chevron Marathon. This year as I am approaching the big 4-0 I decided it is time to tackle my biggest challenge yet.

As a devoted employee for 13 years, I am honored to be running for Citizens for Animal Protection. I have adopted many fur babies in the past years including 2 dogs,4 cats, and 4 gerbils. I have also had the pleasure of fostering many sick and orphaned babies and seeing them off to their forever homes. It brings me great joy to keep in touch with those adopters that send me pictures and updates of the babies that were rescued with the help of CAP and our dedicated employees.

My goal in running this race is to raise awareness for the many homeless animals that seek loving families with the help of Citizens for Animal Protection. Please help me reach my goal by sponsoring my run!"
