Thanks to the generosity of a donor, CAP's newly created vaccination and wellness clinic, which opened in the fall, will be expanding our building! The clinic offers vaccinations and other pet health services at a low cost every Saturday from 9am-3pm. Vaccinate your pet any Saturday, stop by on a VIP Tour, or help support our vaccination efforts today!
On October 25th, 2014, CAP opened a low cost vaccination and wellness clinic to the public. The clinic shares space with CAP's in-house spay/neuter clinic which provides medical care for the animals in the CAP shelter. The clinic is open on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm on a "walk-in" basis. Vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, feline leukemia testing, micro-chips, nail trims and other services are provided at a minimum cost.
At first the clinic was open on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm but within a few months we had to extend our hours to 3pm to accommodate the number of animals we were seeing. Currently we provide services to an average of seventy clients each Saturday and have added a second veterinarian to our schedule. CAP is very excited to announce that an anonymous donor is underwriting the cost to replace our current pre-fab building with a larger, metal structure. This will allow CAP to extend our days of the week. In addition the new building will providing more space for our in-house spay/neuter clinic.
