Celebrate the season at CAP - "Home for the Holidays," our annual pet adoption and pet food drive December 12-13 from 1-5:30PM at the CAP Shelter.  Welcome your new best friend into their forever home or help feed Houston's homeless pets, do a little holiday shopping, and snap a shot of your furry four-legged friend with Santa.

The annual “Home for the Holidays” Pet Adoption and Pet Food Drive, sponsored by Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP), will be held on Saturday-Sunday, December 12-13, 2009. From 1:00 PM until 5:30 PM, the event will be held at the CAP Shelter, 11925 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas.

The Open House will highlight many adorable animal companions ready for adoption – all hoping to be forever “HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS”. Santa photos with your pet will be available for a $10.00 donation. CAP’s Happy Tails Pet Supply Shop is stocked with holiday gifts for people and their pets including personalized stockings for dogs and cats. The CAP Thrift Store Giant Sidewalk Sale is offering merchandise which includes designer jewelry, designer clothing, new gift items, art and much more.

CAP's Holiday Gift to You

Through Dec. 24th, CAP will waive adoption fees by 50% for any cat or large breed dog over 2 years of age and pets who have needed a home for a very long time.

CANNED FOOD is needed for the orphaned cats, dogs, puppies and kittens rescued and cared for by CAP. In addition, the Holiday Wish List includes:
