Trouble.... I'm Blind
ADOPTED. Trouble is a very sweet and special 5 month old kitty because the vet said that he is partly blind in both eyes. He gets around his foster mom's house fine and he LOVES other cats and gets along great with 'gentle' and calm dogs and he adapts well to new things. He will do best in a household with older mature kids and adults. He should NEVER be an outside cat as he cannot see danger approaching. He must go to a home with other friendly cats as he loves to rough house and play with his cat friends. He is just like normal cats but sometimes it will take him a little longer to adjust to new setting. He can probably see shadows and the vet hopes with time he may gain some of his sight back but not all. To meet this special and sweet kitty or if you have questions, please emal his foster parent. Foster-K.Remember to NOT move the litter box and NEVER, ever allow blind kitties outdoors!
Stevie 6972431
This little girl IS a Miss Stevie Wonder Puppy because she is blind and she is quite a wonder! Stevie was found as a lonely stray puppy, lost in a big world and completely unable to see. It’s only understandable she was scared not only on the streets, but when she came to the shelter as well. Her first day with us, she spent much of her time bumping into her kennels’ walls. Luckily she was able to go home with her foster mom Kate right away.
From Stevie’s foster mom Kate:
"I took her home and after just a few days of learning the lay of the land she now gets around like a pro, occasionally making me think she can see a little after all. Then of course something happens like me putting something new on the floor and Stevie running into it and I realize she really cannot see at all. The ideal home for Stevie would be a stable home without lots of dogs. One other dog would be great. Stevie loves to play and it helps her to have a dog buddy to help her find toys and things. She needs a home without a lot going on. Too many people coming and going tends to disorient her and frustrates her. Of course a family that has had a blind dog before would be great, but it is not a requirement. Most of all what Stevie needs is a home where people realize how special she is but won’t treat her like she is “special”. She really just wants to be like any other puppy, but with a few precautions to protect her.”
