grace2CAP was recently called to rescue a beautiful Seal Point Siamese kitty that had been living under some bushes for 2 days. The person who called had been feeding her for the time she was there, but Grace had been homeless for some time and in the not too distant past, had been pregnant.

Grace was trying to make it in this huge world alone, with very little food, and no shelter or loving hands to caress her. Our own Executive Director and one of our employees went to see about Grace and rescue her. No one knows how harsh life had been on Grace up until this point, but she willingly came to outstretched,
loving arms.

When Grace was brought back to the Shelter a health assessment showed that she was FIV positive, which mean she carries the FIV virus and has a suppressed immune system. Because of this, she can only be adopted into another home with other FIV kitties or she has to be “an only child”, because the virus can be passed from one kitty to another. The FIV virus is unique to Feline species and cannot be passed to humans or other animal species. The virus is slowly progressive. Antibody-positive cats can remain happy and healthy for many, many years. Some cats never develop any symptoms, but are carriers of the virus their entire life.

The term "saving grace" is generally used in secular literature and in speech to mean some fact or quality in a thing or a person or an idea that enables us to take a positive view of it, despite plenty of negative evidence; or at least keeps us from taking an entirely negative view.

This is the very reason we chose the name Grace, because even though Grace has a health issue, she is one of the sweetest, most loving animals we have ever come across and deserves a second chance at life. CAP is going to do whatever it takes to get her into a loving, forever home.

Please consider adopting Grace and giving her the life that she always dreamed of, but never had. She will change you life too, by giving you unconditional love.
