Happy Beginnings

We adopted Amelia almost 3 months ago and it has been the best three months! I knew she was the one the first time I saw

her on the website. She’s the most goofy, energetic, and cuddly little bug. We love her and continue to learn more about her

everyday.

Nova's human checked in to let us know she's the queen of the house!

 Rosie helped heal a huge hole in my heart after losing my 16 year old girl, Haley. I fell in love with her pictures and bio on the CAP website; but I was afraid to rush into adopting so soon. After stalking her bio page every day for a solid two weeks; I finally went to meet her! I knew it was meant to be when I turned in my application for her adoption just 30 seconds before another family did! Rosie came into my home like a wrecking ball, being the most energetic and goofiest dog that I have ever met! She is crazy intelligent, very sweet, and so freaking nosey! She is such a happy girl living her best life! We just celebrated her first birthday on 1/3/24! I couldn't imagine how dull my life would be without my sweet and crazy Rosie girl! Thanks CAP!!!

 Ivy, formerly Marble, is living her best life with 3 other sisters. She's the youngest and keeps the other girls on their toes. She loves boxes, the smaller, the better! She gallops throughout the house and loves treat time! She's taken over our king size bed and our hearts! She's the best and we love her so much!!

My daughter (who is 17) and I went to the shelter as we have been thinking about getting another dog after losing our Pomeranian to old age at 15 yrs. We decided we wanted dog my husband can run/bike with and just be more active with. Brought her home and we are in love. Thanks for giving us the perfect fit to our family we were looking for.

I went to CAP to get me a dog originally I wasn't looking for a puppy I was just looking for a companion bc I have seizures and mental health problems so it's hard sometimes. Well after asking one of the employees who I had talked to on a previous visit who he thought would be best for me he went into the puppy room and pulled this sweet but hyper lil girl who I fell in love with so quickly even though she was hyper she was everything to me I didn't have to second guess it. I never go for female dogs but I went in with an open mind and I'm so glad I did. Because now I have my best friend I ended up taking her home and we do everything together.

When we found Roberta at CAP, we found a wonderful young dog that has completely captured our hearts. She offers us complete joy and adventure whether it be at a dog park for a sprited run or at home for gentle cuddling and petting. We are grateful Roberta joined us as a valuable family member, for she is a much loved companion of our nine year old dog, Agatha as well as a friendly sister to our two cats. She is a gentle loving presence on leash walks as well as a playful girl off leash at the dog park. We feel like she is trying so hard to make us happy and follow our directions, even if at times she forgets to listen, Agatha reminds her of the "house rules." We had a hole in our hearts after we lost our 15 year old rescue, Bertie, and Roberta has offered us love and support we can genuinely appreciate. She was well socialized and cared for during her stay for almost 2 months at CAP and is well on her way,
at about a year, towards a healthy and happy adult canine. She is beautiful inside and out and is a pure happy joy to have in the family!

Bailey is the exact kind of dog I was looking for to be a best friend to my shih-poo, after losing her best friend in March. Bailey makes me feel like I won the jackpot! He is such a great boy! I feel sad for the family that had to turn him in, but I hope they know he has a great home with 1 doggy friend, 2 cat friends and gets along great with all of them…and also a grandma who is with him all day long. He’s so sweet and smart and I couldn’t be any happier with Bailey!
