Dogs & Puppies for Adoption

CAP has many wonderful dogs and puppies available for adoption. Also, new animals arrive every day at the shelter, so our site features only a small number of our residents. For a real canine caper, stop by the shelter, located at 11925 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas.

Before coming to the shelter, you may want to review our Adoption Information page and print out a copy of our dog adoption application. There's not a moment to waste - the "Love of Your Life" may be waiting for you!

To Check Availability....

To 'confirm' if an animal is still available for adoption,  you must  PHONE CAP Shelter during normal business hours at 281-497-0591. Please do NOT write.   When phoning you MUST provide both the name and the number for the animal and what type animal it is, such as dog, cat, rabbit, etc.   NOTE: Things change daily so please do NOT call more than 24 hours before you intend to visit the animal.  Thanks for wanting to adopt an animal and Save A Life.

I was found wandering around all alone.  I'm a Lab, so I'm friendly, loving, loyal and  need a family of my own to love me forever.  I love to go for walks, but afterwards I'll sit by your side.  I'm fully grown at 82 pounds and as I'm already neutered I can go home today.  I'll make a wonderful companion.
